Full-length walk-in baths for a laid back soak
A full-length walk-in bath is the same size as the standard bath you may be looking to replace, so it drops straight into the space your current one sits in. The difference is a low step and a watertight door, so you can lie back for a proper soak without climbing over a high side. You can add a shower over the bath on any model too, with the Louisiana built as a bath and shower in one. We design and install across England and Wales, with the bath, delivery and expert fitting all included.

Why choose a full-length walk-in bath?
Unlike a shorter bath you sit upright in, a full-length model lets you lie back and stretch out for a deep, proper soak, with a low and easy step in.
A full lie-back soak
It’s the one length you can lie right back and stretch out in, 1500mm to 1700mm long, with the water up to your shoulders if you’d prefer. A shorter bath keeps you sat upright, and a walk-in shower can’t offer a soak at all.
A straight bath swap
It’s the same size as a standard bath, so it will, for the most part, drop into the space your current bathtub sits in. It rarely needs major building work; from our experience just a straightforward swap, and we’ll always take your old bath away.
Warm-water comfort
Warm water to the shoulders soothes aches and helps you relax in a way a walk-in shower can’t. Around one in nine of the full-length baths we fit have an air spa added to them for exactly this reason. Mood lighting is an option available too on most models in the full-length range.
Who a full-length walk-in bath is best for
There isn’t one type of person a full-length walk-in bath is for. Below you’ll find some of the mobility needs this type of bath tends to suit.
Bathing safely as you age
When climbing over a high bath side starts to feel like a risk, a low sealed door lets you keep bathing at home with confidence.
A full-length bath for every level of support
Whether you need a lot of help getting in or very little, there’s a full-length bath to suit, from a simple step-in to a powered seat that does all the work.
Recovering from surgery or illness
If getting in and out is harder for now, a low step and the option of a powered seat make bathing easier while you recover.
Sore joints or limited mobility
Being able to stretch right out in warm water helps to ease tension and stiffness; a full-length model lets you keep enjoying that for longer, in your own home.
Every bath in our full-length range is built for safety and comfort
Whichever full-length model you choose for your home, the features that make everyday bathing safer and more comfortable are built-in.
Low-threshold entry
A low step and wide door remove the need to climb over a high bath side.
Tailored seating
Choose a fixed seat for upright support, or a powered seat that gently lowers and raises you.
Enhanced safety
Slip-resistant floors and thermostatic taps come as standard, holding a safe, steady temperature.
Wheelchair access
Some walk-in bath models sit at the right height for a side transfer straight from a wheelchair.
Integrated support
Slip-resistant grab rails are placed where you need them for extra steadiness.
Easy-access controls
Simple lever taps and easy waste controls suit hands with limited grip or strength.

Our commonly asked questions about full-length mobility baths
The questions we’re asked most often about full-length walk-in baths are answered clearly so you have what you need to decide the best accessible option for you.
Will a full-length walk-in bath fit where my current bath is?
Usually, yes. A full-length walk-in bath is much the same size as a standard UK bath, 1500mm to 1700mm long, so it tends to drop straight into the space your current one sits in. The Louisiana is wider at 1000mm and needs a little more room. We measure up at your free home visit and confirm the fit before any work begins.
Can I still have a proper, deep soak?
Yes, that’s the point of a full-length model. You can lie right back and stretch out with the water up to your shoulders, the same deep soak as an ordinary bath, just with a low, watertight door instead of a high side to climb over.
Can I still shower as well as bathe?
Yes. A shower over the bath can be added to any of our full-length models, and the Louisiana is built as a bath and shower in one, with room to shower standing up.
Do I need a powered seat, or can I just step in?
Whatever suits you. The Arizona is a simple step-in with no seat; the Montana, Louisiana and Easy Riser offer a powered seat; and the Omega has a powered lift that lowers you right in. There’s a level of support to match whatever you need.
Do I have to sit in the bath while it fills and drains, and will I get cold?
Yes. On any walk-in bath the door has to close and seal before the water goes in, so you sit in the bath while it fills, and wait for it to drain before opening the door to step out. A thermostatic tap holds the water at the temperature you set, so it stays comfortable, and a warm bathroom makes the wait at the end easier. We’ll talk you through exactly how it works at your free home visit.
Will the door leak?
No, and it’s the thing people worry about most. Every model has a watertight, sealed door, with a lifetime leak-free guarantee on the seal, so it stays watertight for the life of the bath.
Is fitting a full-length walk-in bath a big building job?
Usually not. Because it’s about the size of a standard bath, it’s most often a straight swap rather than a rebuilt room, and it rarely needs major building work, only around 1 in 20 of our walk-in bath fits do. A straight bath swap can often be done in a day by our team of installers, and we take your old bath away.
How much does a full-length walk-in bath cost?
Each model has its own price, shown on its card above, and every price includes the bath, delivery and fitting by our own team. Prices start from £7,450. If you’re eligible for VAT exemption you won’t pay the 20% VAT, and we’ll always give you a clear, full price at your free home visit.
