The Montana walk-in bath
The Montana walk-in bath is a full-length walk-in bath with a powered seat that gently lowers you into the water and lifts you back up when you’re ready to get out. It means you can enjoy a deep, full-length soak and lie back to relax, without worrying about how you’ll stand up afterwards. Is the Montana walk-in bath right for you?
The Montana gives you a deep, full-length bath, with a powered seat to help you get in and out. If you love a long soak and want to carry on enjoying one, comfortably and at your own pace, the Montana is made for you.
You want a proper soak
The Montana is full-length, either 1500mm or 1675mm, so you can lie back, stretch out and relax, not just get clean.
Your needs may change
The seat lifts out completely, so the Montana is a powered bath when you want it, and can be used as a standard bath for anyone else.
You want a helping hand
The powered seat lowers you gently into the water and lifts you back up when you’re ready, with no effort at all required.
How the Montana compares to our other full-length accessible baths
All of our full-length baths are built for a proper soak, so the real choice is how much help you’d like getting in and out.
The Arizona
Better if you can step in comfortably and just want a safe, full-length soak.
The Easy Riser
Better if you’d like to recline right back and be lifted out when you’re ready.
The Omega
Better if a step is too much: no door, the seat lowers you all the way in.

Our FAQs about the Montana walk-in bath
Do you have to sit in the bath while it fills and drains?
Yes. The door must be closed before the water goes in, so you stay seated on the powered seat while the Montana fills and drains. That is true of any walk-in bath with a door. We recommend thermostatic taps, which hold the water at the temperature you set, so it fills to a steady, comfortable warmth.
Will the Montana fit where my current bath is?
In most homes, yes. The Montana is 700mm wide, close to a standard UK bath, and comes in 1500mm or 1675mm lengths, so it usually fits in the space your current bath takes up. Every home is different, though, so we measure your bathroom at your free home visit and confirm the best fit before any work begins.
Can the Montana still be used as an ordinary bath?
Yes, the Montana works as an ordinary bath as well as a powered one. The seat lifts out completely, so anyone who does not need it can bathe as normal, and it goes back in whenever you like. That makes it a good choice if more than one person uses the bathroom, or if your needs might change over time.
How much does the Montana cost, and could I be exempt from VAT?
The Montana starts from £7,500, fully installed, with the final price depending on the length you choose and any extras you add. If you are eligible for VAT exemption, you will not pay the 20% VAT on your new bathroom, and we will guide you through it. You will always get a clear, full price at your free home visit, with nothing hidden.
How long does it take to install?
Most of our walk-in bath installations, if it is just removing the old and replacing it with the new, can be done in a single day. The work is always done by our own employed, DBS-checked team, never subcontractors. At the end, we tidy up fully and take your old bath away.
