The Vermont walk-in bath

The Vermont is our most compact walk-in bath, at around half the length of a standard tub. Its clever design keeps the bathing well deep, so you still sink into a warm, full-depth soak even though it takes up so little floor space. You step in from the side through an outward-opening door, hinged on whichever side suits your room, so there’s nothing to climb over or squeeze past. It’s the bath to choose when space is really tight but you don’t want to give up a proper soak, and you can add an Air spa for gentle bubbles if you’d like a touch of luxury.

Is the Vermont walk-in bath right for you?

The Vermont is the bath for the smallest of bathrooms. It suits you best if a standard bath simply won’t fit, you still want a warm, proper soak, and you’d like the easiest possible step in from the side.

You want to save space

It fits where a standard bath, or even our other walk-in baths, won’t.

Getting in from the side suits you

The outward side door hinges left or right for a wide, natural step in.

You won't give up a deep soak

Even at half the size, the well fills deep for a warm, full bathe.

How the Vermont compares, and when another bath suits better

When space is tight, these are the baths to weigh up. The Vermont and Florida are our two compact baths, and the Georgia is our narrowest mid-length if you have a bit more room to give.

Common questions we get about the Vermont

In most cases, yes. The Vermont is our most compact walk-in bath, at just 950mm long and 660mm wide, about half the length of a standard tub. Its door opens outward from the side, so it needs a little clear floor space in front to open, and it can be hinged on the left or right to suit your room. That makes it a good fit for very small bathrooms and en-suites where nothing else will go. We measure your room carefully at your free home visit and confirm the fit before any work starts.

Yes. Although the Vermont takes up about half the floor space of a standard bath, the bathing well is made deeper to make up for it. You sit on the built-in seat and the water comes up nice and high, so you still get a warm, full soak. It’s designed for people who want to keep bathing, not just showering, even in a small room.

Yes. Like any walk-in bath, the door has to close and seal before the water goes in, so you sit on the built-in seat while the bath fills and drains. We can fit thermostatic taps that hold the water at the temperature you set, so it stays comfortable while the bath fills and empties.

Quite a few. The Vermont can be upgraded with an Air spa for gentle hydrotherapy bubbles, chromotherapy lighting, a Bluetooth sound system, a choice of brassware, and a shower screen. You can pick as many or as few as you like at your free home visit, so the bath is as simple or as spa-like as you want.

The Vermont starts from £7,500, fully installed, with the final price depending on any upgrades you add, such as the Air spa or chromotherapy. If you’re eligible for VAT exemption, you will be VAT exempt on your new walk-in bath, so you won’t pay the 20% VAT, and we can help you with that. You’ll always get a clear, full price at your free home visit, with nothing hidden.

Most of our full bathroom installations take three to five days. If you add powered features like the Air spa, they need an electrical supply and a little extra plumbing, which our team handles as part of the fit. Our own employed, DBS-checked team always does the work, with no subcontractors, and we take your old bath away and tidy up fully at the end.
