How we made Steve's shower safe to step into

The challenge
A tray he had to climb over
Steve was struggling to step into his shower safely. The raised tray and sliding doors made getting in and out a risk, and he needed a room he could use without worrying.

Our solution
Level access, and a wall to keep it dry
We converted the shower into a fully level-access wet room. To keep the rest of the room dry we built a stud wall near the door, and we measured and fitted grab rails in exactly the right positions for Steve, including a floor-to-ceiling support pole and a hinged rail by the toilet. A comfort-height toilet, folding shower seat and modern LED mirror finish the room.

Steve now has a bathroom he can step into confidently, with support wherever he reaches for it and nothing left to climb over.
