Before

The old bathroom: a cramped space with a step-up shower that didn’t work with a wheelchair.

The story

How we rebuilt Linda's space around her wheelchair

1
The challenge

A bathroom a wheelchair couldn't use

Linda’s old shower had a step up, and the room itself was tight to move around in. For a wheelchair user that meant a daily struggle, and the layout of the rooms around it did not help either.

Our solution

More space, no steps

This was a bigger job than most. We removed the wall between two bedrooms to create one open, glide-through bedroom, extended the bathroom by a metre, and replaced the old shower with a sleek, wheelchair-friendly wet room with an electric shower and grab rails where they count.

The result

Room to move, built to last

Linda’s home now flows the way she needs it to. The wet room is level, spacious and simple to use, and the whole space is future-proofed to support her safety, dignity and independence for years to come.

Wet Room

Paul’s New Bathroom | Accessible Wet Room Installed

Paul got in contact with us at Age Care Bathrooms because his bathroom had started to work against him, and using the bath was getting harder. We took it out and designed, and installed an easy-access wet room in its place, one built around how Paul lives and how he will for years in the future, in the home he loves.

Charlotte’s Bathroom Renovation | Level-Access Wet Room Installed

Charlotte was finding it harder to get in and out of her bath, and her old walk-in shower had a high step to manage during every use. We replaced both with one completely level wet room she can rely on for many years to come. We installed slip-resistant flooring, shower seating and grab rails for additional support.

Peter’s Bathroom Transformation | Wet Room & New Bath Installed

Peter wanted a safer bathroom without giving up his bath, and he didn’t have to. We took out an old cupboard to fit both a walk-in wet room shower and a brand new bath, with grab rails and a slip-resistant floor.
