Charlotte's Future Proof Wet Room

Charlotte was finding it harder to get in and out of her bath, and her old walk-in shower had a high step to manage during every use. We replaced both with one completely level wet room she can rely on for many years to come. We installed slip-resistant flooring, shower seating and grab rails for additional support.

The story

A safer bathroom Charlotte can rely on

The challenge

A bath and walk-in shower she was struggling to get in and out of

Charlotte’s bathroom we beginning to work against her. Washing took more planning and more effort each time, and the room she used every day started to feel uncertain. The aim was to think ahead and put this right, to have a bathroom that would keep supporting her for years rather than one she may have to sort again.

Our solution

A completely level wet room, fitted in five days

Instead of fitting a standard layout, our team planned the room around how Charlotte actually moves and uses her bathroom, information we gained during her free home visit. The new wet room now gives her more space, even with two fold-down seats so she can choose where to settle. Grab rails were set and fitted exactly where she reaches for support. Our installers kept the upheaval low as well during the 5 day installation, her toilet was still usable for most of the week.

A bathroom that works for the future

It isn’t a single fitting that Charlotte now notices most, it is how little she now has to think about every day washing and bathing. What previously took real care and concentration is now simply part of her morning again, and the worry about the years ahead has eased with it. Charlotte has her confidence and independence back.
