How Bruce stayed in his own home

The challenge
Home from hospital, and the bathroom no longer fitted
Bruce’s family got in touch after he came home from hospital, weaker than before and finding everyday tasks harder. The bath had become impossible for him to use, and staying in his own home rather than moving into care was what mattered most.

Our solution
Designed around Bruce, after a proper chat
We started with a free home visit and a friendly conversation about what Bruce actually needed. Then we fitted a level-access wet room with a folding shower seat, a floor-to-ceiling support pole at the entrance, a thermostatic shower, grab rails and easy-to-use taps, all over slip-resistant safety flooring.

The result
Independent, and still at home
The work was done quickly and tidily, with as little disruption as possible. Bruce can now wash safely on his own, in the home he wanted to stay in.
