How this bathroom became easier for both of them

The challenge
A bath that suited neither of them
Mr and Mrs Newsam wanted a bathroom that was easier and safer for them both to use. Climbing over the side of the bath to shower had become the hardest part of the day, and the old layout left little room for support.

Our solution
Level access, and kept dry
We removed the bath and built a fully level-access wet room. A full-height glass safety screen keeps the rest of the room dry, while a padded folding shower seat and grab rails add support. A comfort-height toilet and semi-pedestal basin make everyday use easier, and an LED mirror and towel warmer finish the room.

The result
Practical, and inviting
They now share a bathroom that is safe and simple for both of them to use, with slip-resistant flooring throughout and a finish that feels warm rather than clinical.
