The challenge

A bathroom that had stopped working for him

The bathroom Tom previously had no longer worked for him. To use the shower meant stepping over the high side of the bath, and that was becoming much more difficult to do. Tom wanted a room where he could continue to wash on his own, safely, and one that would carry on suiting him if his requirements changed.

Our solution

One level floor, planned with Tom's needs in mind

Our installation team took out the bath and brought the whole floor to one level, finished with anti-slip flooring. The shower is now a part of the room, with a fold-down seat so Tom can sit while he washes if he’d like to. A waterproof vanity unit brings the basin and toilet together, so the room stays tidy and simple to clean.

The result

A wet room for the years ahead

Tom can now walk straight into his shower without a second thought, sit down whenever he wants to, and rely on solid footing the whole time. It gives him confidence every time he uses it.
