From a difficult bath to an easy-access wet room

Paul got in contact with us at Age Care Bathrooms because his bathroom had started to work against him, and using the bath was getting harder. We took it out and designed, and installed an easy-access wet room in its place, one built around how Paul lives and how he will for years in the future, in the home he loves.

Out with the difficult bath, in with a wet room

The challenge

A bath that had become a struggle

By the time Paul called us, the should be simple act of washing had become a task he now had to plan for. Getting over the side of the bath took effort, and he had started to use a chair beside it to steady himself. What he wanted back was not only a safer bathroom, but confidence to manage on his own.

Our solution

A level wet room, planned around how he moves

The old bath was stripped out, and our team reworked the whole room around Paul likes to use his bathroom. The floor was made completely step-free, the shower area spacious and opened up so he can walk straight in. Grab rails placed exactly where he needed them. Paul chose his colours and we finished the room with bright, easy to clean marble-effect panels, so the room stays as simple to look after as it is to use.

The result

A bathroom that works for the future years

The difference shows in the small things. No more edge to climb, no need for the chair to lean on, and nothing about washing that Paul has to overthink anymore. Paul has a bathroom he can easily use independently because it works the way he needs it to.
