Since our recent bathroom TV advert went live, we’ve been overwhelmed by the response. We know that choosing a mobility bathroom is a big decision, one built on trust and transparency.

We wanted our latest TV advert to reflect exactly who we are, no flashy actors, no high-pressure sales scripts; just our founder, Sam, talking about what we do best, helping people, and making the home they love, more accessible.

This advert was our way of showcasing the day-to-day of the Age Care Bathrooms team. In it, Sam talks about the real reason Age Care Bathrooms exists, inspired by his own grandparents’ needs and a desire to provide the level of care and quality that the mobility industry was missing.

We don’t just “fit bathrooms”; we provide the independence that allows people to stay in the home they love, for longer.

The Bits You Didn’t See! 

Although creating a bathroom TV advert sounds glamorous on paper… The reality involves a lot of coffee, a couple of missed cues here and there, and laughter along the way.

The Ideas We Left Behind…

Before we settled on the “On The Front Line” concept, our marketing team spent weeks brainstorming how best to tell the Age Care story. We wanted to make sure our Age Care Bathrooms TV advert truly stood out.

We’re thrilled with the final result, but some of the other ideas were too good not to share:

The “Everywhere” Sam

This was an approach where Sam would talk to the camera from the various “front lines” of the business, the office, the warehouse, out in the van, even a local cafe, here in Chesterfield. The goal was to show the scale of the operation and the real people moving the cogs every day.

The Johnson Family Success Story

We considered a “lifestyle” focus, walking through a finished mobility bathroom installation for the Johnson family. It would have cut between the safety of their new bathroom and them living the life to the fullest, on holiday, or dancing like it’s 1999, to show that a safe home is the foundation for a great life.

The Three Pillars of Peace of Mind

A very calm, sit-down session where Sam shared the three absolute essentials for any mobility bathroom: Safety, care, and peace of mind. No sales pitch, just genuine, expert advice from someone who has seen and been in the industry for years, from the inside.

The “Nothing to Hide” (Naked Truth…)

This was our most “out-there” idea. It started like a boring, standard commercial until Sam interrupted to say that while every mobility bathroom company has good products, what’s missing in the industry is honesty. To prove we had “nothing to hide,” the script called for Sam to be shown completely naked, except for a strategically placed tap, or rubber duck…

While the “Strategically placed tap” certainly would have grabbed attention, we ultimately decided that the “On The Front Line” approach was the most authentic way to show you who we are and why we care.
