By the time a wet room leak is visible, water has normally been tracking through the structure for months, sometimes years. When we lift a failed floor, this is what we tend to find.
None of this is cosmetic.

How we ensure that your bathroom is repaired to high quality
Diagnosis
We open the floor up and establish exactly where and why the waterproofing has failed. Photographs sent in advance tell us a great deal, but nothing is confirmed until the floor is up.
Controlled strip out
The floor covering, adhesive bed, and failed membrane are removed and taken away. We protect the rest of your home while we do it.
Structural repair
Any rotten or weakened boards and joists are cut out and replaced. The base has to be sound and flat before anything else can go back down, and there is no shortcut around this stage.
Wet deck and drainage
Where the deck has failed or the falls were never right, it is replaced. The drain is checked, rebedded, and reconnected properly.
New waterproofing
A full tanking system goes down across the floor, up the walls, and is sealed at every corner, joint, and pipe penetration. This is the part that stops the problem returning.
New floor covering
Slip resistant flooring laid, sealed, and finished to the drain.

How much does a wet room floor repair cost?
Our wet room flooring repairs start at £2,500. The final figure depends on the size of the floor, the condition of the structure underneath, and whether the wet deck and drain need replacing. We give you a firm price before any work begins.
Why so much for what looks like a floor?
Because it is not just a floor. A wet room floor is a layered waterproofing system, and repairing it means removing the covering, the adhesive, and the failed membrane, repairing whatever the water has damaged underneath, replacing the wet deck and drain where needed, and installing an entirely new tanking system before the new flooring goes down. It is a rebuild carried out by specialists, and it is the reason the repair lasts rather than failing again next winter.
Can you not just re-grout or re-seal it?
No, and anybody offering to is not solving your problem. Grout and silicone are not what keeps water out of your floor. The tanking membrane underneath is. Surface repairs hide the symptoms for a few months while the water carries on damaging the structure.
How long does the work take?
Most repairs are completed within a single day. Larger structural jobs can run into a second day, and if we expect that, we will tell you before we start.
Will I be without a bathroom?
The wet room itself is out of use while we are working in it, since the floor is lifted. We will confirm exactly when the new floor is ready to use before we leave, and we will talk through arrangements with you in advance so you are not caught out.
Do you repair wet rooms installed by other companies?
Yes. Most of the repairs we carry out are on wet rooms fitted by somebody else. We do not need to have installed it to put it right.
What if you find more damage once the floor is up?
We stop, show you what we have found, and explain your options and the cost before doing anything further. You decide whether we continue.
