Mobility Bathroom Installer

Website Age Care Bathrooms

Same tools, same bathrooms, same days on site. £72,000 and none of the paperwork.

We are looking for an experienced mobility bathroom installer with a strong work ethic to join our team. We cover the whole of the UK and would like the candidate to carry out a full mobility bathroom installation.

If you’re fitting mobility bathrooms on a day rate for someone else, you know how it works. You chase the invoice. You fund the van, the diesel and the insurance. You pay an accountant. And every day you’re not on site – you earn nothing.

Age Care Bathrooms installs full mobility bathrooms and wet rooms for Private customer housing associations and local authorities across the UK. We’re hiring employed installers on £72,000 a year.

Do the maths on your own rate

£72,000, spread across the days you actually work once you’ve taken 28 days paid holiday, is over £310 a day. That’s before the van, the diesel, the hotel, the food and the accountant – all of which we pay for and you currently don’t.

Job and done, not clock and watch

We allow four to five days for a full bathroom. Finish a room in three and the rest of the week is yours – we’re not going to invent work to fill your diary. Some weeks you’ll be wanted for a meeting or to pick up a remedial, so it isn’t carved in stone, but the principle stands: you’re paid for the job, not for sitting in traffic to prove you were somewhere.

No tiling. Installation support teams behind you when you need them.

What’s included

  • £72,000 a year, employed
  • Your own company van
  • Fuel paid
  • Hotels and travel paid
  • Food paid when you’re away
  • 20 days holiday plus the 8 bank holidays – and a Christmas break on top of those 28
  • Workplace pension
  • Uniform provided
  • Bring your own tools. Every fitter’s particular and we’d rather you worked with what you know – but we cover the consumables that go with them: blades, bits, discs, the lot

The first two weeks

We don’t hand over a £72,000 contract on the strength of a CV. You’ll do a two-week paid trial out on site alongside one of our experienced fitters, paid as a subcontractor for the fortnight. You take control of the install – they sign you off, you move onto the full contract. If you can do what you say you can do, it’s two weeks and then you’re in. If you can’t, we’d both rather find that out in week one than halfway through somebody’s only bathroom.

What we need from you

  • 5+ years fitting bathrooms — mobility, level-access and wet rooms
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to run a full mobility bathroom on your own or as part of a team
  • Someone who solves it on site rather than ringing in about it
  • Willing to travel and stay over when the job needs it
  • Polite and straight with customers — most of them are elderly, and it’s their only bathroom
