At Age Care Bathrooms, our mission is simple: to help people easily and confidently make mobility changes to their homes. While we are experts in mobility solutions, from walk-in baths to walk-in-showers to full wet rooms, the foundation of our company is deeply personal.

It is a story of family, care, and a commitment to fixing the recurring issues we saw in the mobility industry.

Where It Started

The journey of Age Care Bathrooms began in 2010, spurred by a diagnosis within our founder Sam’s family. His grandmother, Barbara, was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND) and quickly required a full mobility wet room. 

Sam, already working as a subcontractor in the mobility industry, and his family installed the bathroom themselves, ensuring it was secure, safe, and met Barbara’s exact needs.

Just two years later, Sam’s grandad, William (known affectionately as “Billy Pud”), was diagnosed with dementia. Again, the family stepped in to help, installing stairlifts and another dedicated mobility bathroom.

It was during these personal, high-stakes installations that Age Care Bathrooms was born. Our core aim is to make a tangible difference in people’s lives by providing functional, safe, and beautiful bathroom solutions that support dignity and independence at home.

While working on his grandparents’ homes, Sam encountered frustrating and common problems within the mobility industry:

• • Limited Choice: A restricted range of products that didn’t truly serve every unique requirement.

• • Long Installation Times: The dread of weeks-long disruption to the home.
