Your Walk-in Bath
Questions Answered
What happens to my old bath?
Our installation service includes full waste removal. Our team will remove your old bath and any other bathroom waste, allowing you to use your new walk-in bath as soon as we finish the installation process.Â
How do I use a walk-in bath?
Both the deep soak and full-length baths come with a low threshold step for easy access. To use our baths, open the door, step inside, take a seat, and close the door behind you. When the door is completely closed and locked in place, it forms a watertight seal. We can show you the process after installation.Â
Â
Next, fill the tub with water to the desired level, sit back, relax and enjoy bathing independently. Filling a disability bath takes the same amount of water as a standard bath. Although walk-in baths have different capacities depending on the model, they all hold approximately the same volume of water. When you’re finished, drain the bath until it’s empty, then open the door to exit. We can install heated seats to help you stay warm as the bath empties.
Can a walk-in bath leak?
A properly installed walk-in bath will not leak. We ensure every walk-in bath we install has a watertight seal around the door. We understand some people are anxious the door may leak, but we have years of experience supplying and installing walk-in baths and are proud to have many delighted customers.
What are the benefits of a walk-in bath?
Walk-in baths for the elderly and disabled offer therapeutic benefits that can help reduce strain on the body. The gentle force of the water from the jets provides hydrotherapy, which helps alleviate pain, fatigue, aching muscles, tension, swelling, injuries and other ailments. The jets can reduce pressure and stress on joints and muscles, allowing those who love a bath to enjoy a relaxing soak.Â
Are walk-in baths suitable for wheelchair users?
Yes, if you’re a wheelchair user, you can use our walk-in baths. Our designs have easy-access doors and can be fitted with an optional rising chair. These features are designed to make it easy to be independent if you use a wheelchair in the bathroom.
Is everything supplied and installed by your team?
Our team of expert designers and installers completes everything in-house. We provide a complete installation without using third-party contractors, and all aspects of electrical, plumbing, joinery, tiling, or any other elements are finished to the highest standard. Our installation team consists of qualified and vetted experts employed only by us, with no need for third-party involvement.
Will there be disruption or mess during the installation process?
Our team will take every precaution to ensure there is as little disturbance as possible. We use dust sheets to protect your floor, clean up after ourselves daily and dispose of all waste and old bath parts. We recognise that having strangers working in and around your house can be unsettling, and we will do everything possible to make the installation of your walk-in bath as stress-free as possible.
